Intersections for Fredericia explores our everyday scenography. The title becomes doublesided. One on hand the exhibition curiously explore the intersection of time. As a curator I have been deeply occupied with connecting the past, present and future of design. On the other hand the exhibition explores how design shapes the way we live, work, and connect. It blends beauty with purpose, tradition with innovation, and the personal with the collective. From the objects and furniture that define our daily rituals to the materials paving the way for the future, thoughtful design elevates everyday life.
The exhibition spans three diverging spaces: The Everyday Gallery, exploring the role of design in our personal lives. Here the visitors are presented with six scenes of everyday life, maybe even six phases of life, living with Fredericias furniture – where heritage designs and modernistic ambition stands side by side with the ‘classics’ of the future. The Solutions Lab, which examines design’s impact on shared environments and the future of responsible design, and The Rooftop a social meeting point where design and community intertwine.
