Subject Matter Pavarent is an exploration of the architectural and sensory potential of materials and their possible applications. It balances the stable with the organic – a rhythmic construction in elm and Reishi, where light, texture, and shadow interact to create a vibrant spatial experience. The screen functions both as a practical room divider and as an independent sculptural installation, engaging the viewer physically as well as visually.
In my practice, I explore ornament as an emotional and connective element – a minimal ornament that emerges in the details, in the craftsmanship, and in the interplay of materials. It is not about decoration, but about presence and meaning – about creating objects that speak to the senses and invite reflection. The folding screen embodies this approach, where aesthetics and function merge seamlessly.
